AUDITIONS RUNWAY SHOW – 1355951
05-09-13 – Albany, NY>Buffalo, NY – RUNWAY SHOW — Created by Auburn High School student and professional model Ally Berry, the Self-Esteem Runway Show is Auburn’s first-ever fashion show fundraiser. Auditions for the show will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 26, at Auburn Public Theater, 8 Exchange St. The production will be June 30.

The press always portrays narrow ideas of beauty, which can lead young individuals into thinking that they aren’t thin enough, beautiful enough or good enough. The goal of the Self-Esteem Runway Show is to communicate to youth and the community that we are all beautiful no matter what size we are or how popular. Local young people (ages 13 to 38) will model, have a chance to be pampered by professionals and shine for an evening.

For the auditions. Males and females should bring a headshot and dress in simple clothing so the judges can see your body type. Experience isn’t necessary.

Proceeds will go to the Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency’s Domestic Violence Intervention Program and SAVAR (Sexual Assault Victims Advocate Resource). Speakers from both agencies will be on hand at information tables to answer questions.

The event will take place in the new Auburn Public Studio space at APT. There will also be food, refreshments and live music available to everyone after the event in the StageRight space.
