In the Toontown catalog for acting lessons, why does it say like wait for 352 days and stuff like that?

I was trying to buy an acting lesson and I have enough money for it but it says wait for 352 days? Please tell me I don’t have to wait 352 days because that would be like a year!

Do a different School!!!!! In acting you can’t wait for anything! You have to get yourself out there!

If you are wanting to do this as a career here are the basics of what you need on a gradient scale.

    #1) Good headshots

#2) Post these headshots on LA CAsting and Actors Access

#3) Submit yourself via these sites until you have an agent

#4) Sign up for an acting class that you not only enjoy but provides good networking opportunity. In LA the top two for this that I have seen are The Acting Center on Hollywood Blvd and Western and The Beverely Hills Playhouse.

#5) Focus on getting a commercial agent that also has a theatrical department. Commercial agents are more concerned with your look and not your SAG status. Whereas theatrical agents 99.9% of the time require you to at least be AFTRA if not SAG.

#6) Once you are SAG eligible then you can see if the agency you have will rep you theatrically as well.

#7) Sharpen your skills, network network network and audition audition audition.

#8) Once you have some credits make sure that they are well known. Meaning you have to promote yourself. Have a your listing on IMDB current. Get your own website, which you don’t have to spend a lot of money on… myactingsite.com is like $19 a month and you get YOUR OWN DOMAIN NAME.

#9) Gather footage of yourself for your reel

#10) Get together with other actors and filmmakers and post it on You Tube.

#11) Once you do anything of note hire yourself a great publicist that will get your name out to the general public.

#12) Keep networking and sharpening your abilities. Doing only those things that have been successful.

If you are under 18 there are a couple of other things you need:

#1) A work permit (free). If you are working in the LA area just search california entertainment work permit and download the form, fill it out, have your school stamp it and mail it in or go to the office to file. In LA the office in Van Nuys will give you a permit on the spot. Permits are valid for 6 months and need to be updated every 6 months.

#2) A Coogan account, which is a secure account that no one can touch. Production is legally required to pay 15% of your earnings to that account. You can get one through Wells Fargo, I found they have the best rates and the smallest deposit requirement.
