she is not talking about the character…she talks about actor’s nervousness..
This is the most inane set of videos I’ve ever seen… Don’t talk too fast? That’s genius…
Hello, Its Nicole D Hodges.
I purchased a copy of Lori’s book THE ORGANIC ACTOR and it’s a great book to have. She covers many audition topics like wardrobe, script analysis, resume, dealing with agents.etc
I highly recommend every actor gets a copy of her book.
I disagree, If the character is nervous then yes you can studder or rush. Only if the scene requires it.
speak at the character’s speed
You are great, Lori!
dude that is sick at how fast she can talk
Lol, doing the dialog at the normal speed I talk wouldn’t be a good idea for me. I always talk way too fast, because I want to say a lot and my thoughts are always ahead of my speach. I’ve been working on it for over a year now but it’s hard because I talk a lot and you have to pay attention to each sentence to get used to it and it’s exhausting. But eventually…
This was entertaining AND helpful! Thank you!
Thank you for helping.
Speak at your normal speed — maybe. For many of us that’s already too fast. Slow it down enough so the audience can understand each sentence, and watch for places where a beat would make it more meaningful.
“Sorry this is scary if u read this far u will die in 10 days if u dont send to any 15 videos in 2 hours good luck hope u dont die”
You don´t have to rush if you are going to be a nervous character.
Work with your body-language instead! It will look much more realistic!
can you rush if your supposed to be nervous for the side
