What is the best way to start off in the acting/modeling industry.?
I’ve heard a lot of shit about the powers and Barbizon and John Robert Scout Pro and need experience, but I do not know where to go. I like 45 minutes from downtown Chicago to go to Chicago is no problem. Am I going to acting school, the Agency. . What should I do?! Cash in advance is often a problem, but I learned that a genuine agent only benefit from when you get to work. With recommendations, advice. . please! help!
go to Go-Sees! they dont ask for any payment, or submit your profiles to reputable agencies. acting classes would be a plus, and it’ll widen your contacts and networks. goodluck on your career!
If you want to act, call the Theatre Department of the Universities in Chicago and ask them to recommend acting teachers.
If you want to model, call a major department store such as Neiman-Marcus and ask for the Fashion Director or Fashion Coordinator. Ask him or her to recommend the best modeling school in Chicago, and if they think modeling school is necessary to become a model.
Lately, U-Tube has become the shortest route for this kind of ambition.
