What was most sucsessful for me was checking and searching craigslist EVERYDAY, you need to be consistant and always looking. Don't only look in one area too. You're near grand rapids, so Chicago is what... almost 3 hours away, and Detroit about 2 and a half...Look at those cities too. Check for craigslist auditions in those area's, and make a day trip out of it. If people what you, and you're within reasonable driving distance then you should try and make the trek out there. I'm sure they're other modelling agencies in Grand Rapids area...or atleast I would assume, I could be wrong. Look into some of the local college's too, filmstudents are always casting in one way or another. I live out in Cali, about 45min south of Sacramento and a one-two hour drive to San Francisco, 3 Hours from San jose... So I've done my share of commuting and public transportation, and I swear once you get one or two impressive jobs for your resume... its all worth it. Take care, Good luck.
