How can I get into the modeling/acting industry?
I have always been wanting to get into the acting/modeling industry. I have been studying drama for 6 years and currently at university studying it. I have also been doing modeling for nearly a year (part time), to gain experience and to try and make a great portfolio..What would be my next step?
Can I actually get noticed and get myself an agent to then perhaps get into commercials, magazines? How would I be able to? Thanks.
For modeling, send in your photos to agencies like Ford, Elite, Next, Wilhelmina, etc or see when they have open calls
For acting speak with your acting instructors to see if they can recommend any agents to you, or better yet, if they could refer you to agents they know. Be sure to try and get roles in any student production you can. Also audition constantly for student films – you never know when that directing student is going to be the next Martin Scorcese or have their film accepted into Sundance or some other high profile festival
Here’s an article detailing step by step what you would need. Well, a link to the article anyway that I found for you on Google. I checked it out. Pretty informative. Too much to type out here. Good luck!!!

sounds like you have been doing everything you can to be ready.
That is great because there is much competition. I suggest radio
and TV training because of the exposure and availability of stations
around the country as opposed to limited little theatre.
With your acting training, you have most of it already. Learn the
technical pArts.
P.S. a magazine article I saw recently said that only one
out of 56 job ads on the internet was valid. Balance
were come ons and had barbed fish hooks. Be wary.
With today’s market, you honestly need to first get a nice online portfolio.
