We need a hard working dedicated guitar player who can really shred some lead and solos. We need an Honest person (Guy or Girl doesn’t matter) who has an equal portion of creativity to serve up. We need someone with show ready gear and reliable transportation. We also need someone who is really willing to bust ass for a little bit to learn the material we have for our upcoming album recording. We also need someone with tons of energy because we are a show band and believe that in live music your stage show should be about interaction as well as playing. We would like someone in the ages between 21 and 41 but this is for show and travel reasons and if your licks are good enough we will just fight the extra struggle. We do our best to stay away from the drama and be negativity free so you should too. 02-03-12 – Washington, DC>Baltimore, MD – Aeviternity is a relatively new progressive band, centralized at American University, where our two guitarists, singer, and drummer all attend. We play music which at times is crushing and powerful, and yet at others, is laid back and atmospheric, while focusing on both maintaining complex rhythms, and staying catchy. We’re not really a “metal” band, in the sense that we don’t use screams or growls, but still maintain the complexity of some bands that have been considered such. Age doesn’t matter, so long as you’re able to travel independently- we’re planning an east-coast tour during the summer.
Our combined influences include such bands as: TesseracT, Periphery, Animals as Leaders, Deftones, Karnivool, Cloudkicker, Meshuggah, Cynic, The Human Abstract, Scale the Summit, and others of the sort.
We’re open to audition anyone of any playing experience. All band members have at least five years experience on their relative instrument, but if you’re a fantastic player, it really doesn’t matter. You need to have all your own gear, (bass, amp, cables, any pedals/effects that you like). We play seven-string guitars, and thus would need a bassist with at least five strings, to be able to match our low end tuning. We practice at American University, and have space available, but you would need to provide your own transportation to and from.

02-03-12 – Norfolk, VA>Washington, DC – Seeking talented, spiritual musicians to be a part of a Christian/secular rock band that will be the “house worship band” at a large, welcoming West End church.

In serving as the house worship band we will receive the financial backing of the church and opportunities to promote, tour, record, and perform outside shows as a band.

You must be a skilled on your instrument, able to learn your individual part on your own (no hand-holding!), willing to commit to a 2 hour rehearsal and ~1 hour gig every (err…most) week/s, and be of the Christian persuasion.

We’ll be playing hard-ish Christian rock (no “Awesome God” or “Lord I Lift Your Name on High”), bands like Switchfoot, Skillet, Gungor, Decemberadio, with some David Crowder and modern Hillsong thrown-in for good measure. We will also be playing secular music with spiritual under/overtones: U2, Coldplay, etc.
