What she doesn’t know, though, is all of the kids wish in secret they could be more perfect … or at least different from whom they actually are. Still, Strawberry hates her freckles and decides she will do anything to get rid of her them, even though her Mother tells her the freckles are just part of what makes her so “unique.” She tries scrubbing them with soap, caking on makeup and even wearing a ski mask to school, which causes all her schoolmates to wonder who this stranger is … maybe an alien trying to take over the world. After a variety of experiences with her schoolmates and their kooky teacher, Freckleface (who has been missed by her classmates) realizes along with her friends that everyone is different – and that’s what makes everyone special.

SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN
STORY: Don Lockwood is a silent film star at Monumental Pictures with humble roots as a musician, dancer and stunt man. Don barely tolerates his vapid leading lady, Lina Lamont, who is convinced that their screen romance is real. After the first talking picture, The Jazz Singer, proves to be a smash hit, the head of the studio, R. F. Simpson, decides he has no choice but to convert the new Lockwood and Lamont film, The Dueling Cavalier, into a talkie. The production is beset with difficulties, by far the worst being Lina’s comically grating nasal voice.
