Bagpiper Theater – Peter Pan Auditions – 1445488
08-29-14 – Pittsburgh, PA>Cleveland, OH – Peter Pan Auditions

There are at least 30 roles if not more. We will have a 20+ person cast depending on casting choices and with some doubling. Casting is flexible many (but not all) roles could be played by either a female or a male actor. No experience or preparation is necessary but of course welcome. This version is a play not a musical so no singing experience is necessary. I currently have no reading materials available, but many versions of Peter Pan are available if you wish to familiarize yourself with the characters and stories of Peter’s adventures.

Our story of course starts with the Darling family and travels to Neverland where we meet the lost boys, pirates, mermaids, Tiger Lily and her tribe, and a vengeful crocodile. This show is going to be so much fun, and of course it will have a bit of my own twist to it. All you need at auditions is a sense of play and your imagination. Please pass this around to new students and incoming freshmen. We need a lot of talent. — Project Type: Live Event

CLO Audition For Boeing Boeing – 1444964
08-27-14 – Cleveland, OH>Pittsburgh, PA – BOEING BOEING
by Marc Camoletti
Translated by Beverly Cross and Francis Evans
Directed by Van Kaplan

About the Show:
BOEING BOEING is a classic farce written by the French playwright Marc Camoletti. The English language adaptation, translated by Beverley Cross, was first staged in London at the Apollo Theatre in 1962 running for a total of seven years. In 1991, the play was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most performed French play throughout the world. The most recent revival on Broadway in 2008 won the TONY for best play revival.

It’s the 1960s, and swinging American bachelor Bernard couldn’t be happier: a flat in Paris and three gorgeous Air Hostesses (Stewardesses) all engaged to him without knowing about each other. Bernard manages to juggle his dance card with careful planning and the reluctance of his acid tongued French Housekeeper Berthe. But Bernard’s perfect life gets bumpy when his friend Robert from Wisconsin comes to stay, and a new and speedier Boeing jet is introduced to the airlines which throws off all of his careful planning. Soon all three stewardesses are in town simultaneously, timid Robert is forgetting which lies to tell to whom, and catastrophe looms. A riotous farce that recently enjoyed hit revivals in London and New York.

In a train station, Cliff Bradshaw arrives, a young American writer coming to Berlin to work on his new novel. He meets Ernst Ludwig, a German who offers Cliff work and recommends a boardinghouse. At the boardinghouse, Fräulein Schneider offers Cliff a room for one hundred marks; he can only pay fifty. After a brief debate, she relents and lets Cliff live there for fifty marks. Fräulein Schneider observes that she has learned to take whatever life offers (”So What?”).

As Cliff visits the Kit Kat Klub, the Emcee introduces a British singer, Sally, who performs a racy, flirtatious number (”Don’t Tell Mama”). Afterward, she asks Cliff to recite poetry for her; he recites “Casey at the Bat”. Cliff offers to take Sally home, but she says that her boyfriend Max, the club’s owner, is too jealous. Sally performs her final number at the Kit Kat Club aided by the female ensemble (”Mein Herr”). The cabaret ensemble performs a song and dance, calling each other on inter-table phones and inviting each other for dances and drinks (”The Telephone Song”).

by Ira Levin
Murder Mystery Meets Clever Comedy

About The Play:
Seemingly comfortably ensconced in his charming Connecticut home, Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, is struggling to overcome a “dry” spell which has resulted in a string of failures and a shortage of funds. A possible break in his fortunes occurs when he receives a script from a student in the seminar he has been conducting at a nearby college—a thriller which Sidney recognizes immediately as a potential Broadway hit. Sidney’s plan, which he devises with his wife’s help, is to offer collaboration to the student, an idea which the younger man quickly accepts. Thereafter suspense mounts steadily as the plot begins to twist and turn with devilish cleverness, and with such an abundance of thrills and laughter, that audiences will be held enthralled until the final, startling moments of the play.
