09-12-14 – Cleveland, OH>Pittsburgh, PA – A kids exhibit will be doing some shows during the holiday season and is looking to hire some voice actors to speak “Northpolian“. This is a paying gig that pays an hourly wage of $40 per hour and will be performed on the weekends with a work day that will be 6 to 12 hours long. The casting directors are expecting voice talent to work between 42 and 57 hours during the course of the show.

Mosser Casting is looking for talented voice actors ages 18-40 years old to help bring a Social Expressions traveling exhibit to life allowing kids to talk directly with the Northpole. The voice talent will work from a studio in downtown Pittsburgh using a Communicator to interact with kids in a different city each weekend.

Actors will not be on camera, only their voices will be heard. The voice talent will provide live responses in “Northpolian” character creating experiences that Kids, Moms and Dads will remember forever.

Actors MUST have the ability to think on their feet and MUST be available to work the following weekends:

The milkman Reb Tevye is a poor man that has been married for twenty-five years with Golde and they have five daughters. When the local matchmaker Yente arranges the match between his older daughter Tzeitel and the old widow butcher Lazar Wolf, Tevye agrees with the wedding. However Tzeitel is in love with the poor tailor Motel Kamzoil and they ask permission to Tevye to get married that he accepts to please his daughter. Then his second daughter Hodel (Michele Marsh) and the revolutionary student Perchik decide to marry each other and Tevye is forced to accept. When Perchik is arrested by the Czar troops and sent to Siberia, Hodel decides to leave her family and homeland and travel to Siberia to be with her beloved Perchik. When his third daughter Chava decides to get married with the Christian Fyedka, Tevye does not accept and considers that Chava has died. Tara E. Enedy is directing the production, having previously directed “The Fox on the Fairway” and appearing in such shows as “Barefoot in the Park,” “Murder on the Nile” and ACT’s award-winning competition piece “Elephant’s Graveyard.” A member of the ACT Board of Directors, she also has been Stage Manager for several productions, including last year’s “Sweeney Todd.”

As in the film (which has become an annual viewing during the holidays for many fans), “A Christmas Story” tells the plight of Ralphie Parker, who only wants one thing for Christmas, a Red Ryder BB gun … if only he can convince his parents, his teacher, and Santa Clause who repeatedly rebuff him with the now-famous response “You’ll shoot your eye out!”

The cast requires 2 men, 2 women, 5 boys and 2 girls, who play 19 different roles and recorded voices. Previous experience or past participation with ACT is not required to audition.
