My name is Shane Palmer. I am a drummer/musician with 17 years of experience in my craft. I am 34 currently.

I can play various styles from jazz, funk, fusion, reggae, rock, second line, bluegrass (modern train beat stuff), and a touch of latin.

I’ve played with many bands from a 7 piece horn band playing classics and modern rock to a bluegrass southern rock and reggae outfit to a funk hiphop band to the traditional jazz standards dinner trio. Lots of good stuff.

I’m moving to Mobile around March 1st and am looking to network with talented musicians. I’m looking to either join a band, start a project, network, or just jam and see where things head.

I am currently listening to Lettuce (awesome group with Soulive’s guitarist, Eric Krasno and Scofield’s drummer Adam Dietch off of Uberjam), Joshua Redman (Elastic. . ..amazing album..all great artists on that album. . .Brian Blade the drummer . . .wow. . .), some MMW (I grew up on this stuff. . ..been to 7 shows), the Funky Meters, Miles (currently In a Silent Way. . ..however Kind of Blue is a great classic. . .got some live recordings from 69 and 71 of Bitches Brew), some Coltrane, Curtis Mayfield, Sly and the Family Stone, Parliament, Bob Marley, Stanton Moore. . ..etc etc etc. . ..spanning various styles.

In Need Of Bassists-New Orleans LA – 1145763

Looking for versatile, talented musicians who will commit to the hard work of establishing a new band. Please no huge egos, I don’t care how good you are or who you’ve played with, if we ca’t get a long this won’t work. The format will consist of between 4-7 members.

We will play a true variety of music, everything from jazz standards (that’s where some of the big money is) to modern rock/pop. No rap, some hip-hop, some classic country (=before Billy Ray Cyrus). Everyone should be able to sing (at least backup/harmony) and play at the same time (except for horns, obviously).

Will start with a list of between 60-80 well recognized tunes and work our way up from there. Would like to get the rhythm section in place to start to form a list. If you don’t want to play most of these standard type tunes don’t bother contacting .Here is an example of some of the styles I qould like to be able to cover and some of the songs.

Casting Local Horror Film – Northshore – 1144395
01-31-12 – Jackson, MS>New Orleans, LA – We are in the process of beginning production on an upcoming campy horror film, which will be filmed on the Northshore (Slidell and Hammond). There is also a big possibility that we will film at a cabin by the river about an hour north from Covington, LA. We will actually camp there in the cabin overnight if we do. There is no pay for the parts, but you will receive credit and a demo reel. We will also provide you with food and drinks and you’ll get to spend the weekend camping which is always fun. After working behind the scenes in the industry for a few years, we have decided to use our knowledge and make our own film and see where it takes us. This is an experimental project which we have been working very hard on. This would be great for someone just starting out in the business.
It’s about a group of college students who go on Spring Break to a cabin in the woods. There they are picked off one by one by a suspected escaped mental patient.
At this time we are really trying to cast the following parts:
Mary — Female lead, 19-23 years old. She is the sweet, innocent college student. She’s a cute girl. She’s polite, caring and has a crush on the male lead. She needs to be someone who can carry a lot of dialogue towards the end of the film. When we first see her she’s portrayed as sweet, but by the end she has to become tough to try and survive. No height requirement for this character.
