In Need Of Bassists-New Orleans LA – 1145763
02-03-12 – New Orleans, LA>Jackson, MS – Putting together a new project with the goal of playing clubs, festivals, weddings and corporate events.

Looking for versatile, talented musicians who will commit to the hard work of establishing a new band. Please no huge egos, I don’t care how good you are or who you’ve played with, if we ca’t get a long this won’t work. The format will consist of between 4-7 members.

We will play a true variety of music, everything from jazz standards (that’s where some of the big money is) to modern rock/pop. No rap, some hip-hop, some classic country (=before Billy Ray Cyrus). Everyone should be able to sing (at least backup/harmony) and play at the same time (except for horns, obviously).

Will start with a list of between 60-80 well recognized tunes and work our way up from there. Would like to get the rhythm section in place to start to form a list. If you don’t want to play most of these standard type tunes don’t bother contacting .Here is an example of some of the styles I qould like to be able to cover and some of the songs.

I have done the club scene for way too long, so the thoughts are to market for wedding receptions, private parties, reunions, casinos (possibly), festivals, etc. I know plenty of musicians but I need to see responses from those who would have a genuine interest in displaying a “full bore” showband-type presence. People love the oldies and there still is a need out there for this type of “specialized” band.

Casting Local Horror Film – Northshore – 1144395
01-31-12 – Jackson, MS>New Orleans, LA – We are in the process of beginning production on an upcoming campy horror film, which will be filmed on the Northshore (Slidell and Hammond). There is also a big possibility that we will film at a cabin by the river about an hour north from Covington, LA. We will actually camp there in the cabin overnight if we do. There is no pay for the parts, but you will receive credit and a demo reel. We will also provide you with food and drinks and you’ll get to spend the weekend camping which is always fun. After working behind the scenes in the industry for a few years, we have decided to use our knowledge and make our own film and see where it takes us. This is an experimental project which we have been working very hard on. This would be great for someone just starting out in the business.
It’s about a group of college students who go on Spring Break to a cabin in the woods. There they are picked off one by one by a suspected escaped mental patient.
At this time we are really trying to cast the following parts:
Mary — Female lead, 19-23 years old. She is the sweet, innocent college student. She’s a cute girl. She’s polite, caring and has a crush on the male lead. She needs to be someone who can carry a lot of dialogue towards the end of the film. When we first see her she’s portrayed as sweet, but by the end she has to become tough to try and survive. No height requirement for this character.

When Catherine meets the charming young Morris Townsend, she is immediately taken by the attention he lavishes on her and is convinced that her love for him is reciprocated. Her father sees things differently, perceiving Morris as a callow fortune hunter who is only after her inheritance. Standing up to her father for the first time in her life, Catherine insists that she will marry Morris but Dr. Sloper threatens to cut off her dowry. Catherine does not care, and plans to elope with Morris but not before telling him about her father’s decision. On the night they are to elope, Catherine eagerly waits at home for Morris to come and take her away, but he never arrives.
