Mostly what we write about is about how people feel so deep in hatred by others, and how people think they are so worthless, they want to commit suicide and our message is that whenever you are stuck in life, you will ALWAYS, ALWAYS pull out. Seeking Strong Creative Vocals-Houston – 1145720
02-02-12 – Houston, TX>Austin, TX – We are an as-of-yet unnamed name in search of a female vocalist capable of bringing her own flare to the music, and that preferably has at least some knowledge of theory and odd time signatures. (it’s not a staple in our style but it is used). I don’t prefer to categorize our sound quite yet but some influences include dream theater, rush, Metallica, pink Floyd, zeppelin, tool, the mars Volta, blind melon, etc, etc. If I had to I would say we are groovy rock/metal with hints of progressive style.

We have 3 songs with lyrics and several more still needing them with almost enough for an album. We meet every monday about 3 in Spring. We are all very respectful and down to earth and have a good sense of humor, please be the same. We are also looking for creativity and flexibility in your voice. Ideally you could go from soft and sweet to loud and edgy, with at least moderate range. We have a good male singer that’s our bassist with whom you would be collaborating in some of the writing.

One last thing, we do 420 and although we have no problem with you not being a smoker, please be 420 friendly at least.

We are an extreme metal band mixing death metal, grindcore, and black metal.
Influences range far and wide but main bands are: Napalm Death, Black Dahlia Murder, and Cannibal Corpse

Bass player just needs to follow along with the guitars, if you can do more that would be fantastic as well.
Vocalist needs to be capable of belting out some sick gutterals (not goregrind gutterals) and possibly even some yelling along the lines of Barney Greenway and other grind vocalist. Pig squeeling is nice but we’d rather keep it to minimum.

One last thing is that we are not your typical death metal band, every show is different in its performances (Feb. 3rd will be a hawaiin theme where we all dress luau style, with a beginning performance of death metal ukulele) so if you feel it in your spirit to rise out of the norm and have some fun performing on stage with some incredible guys, hit us up immediately THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE! — Project Type: 1
