Metal Band Needs A Bassist-Tucson AZ – 1198838
05-18-12 – Phoenix, AZ>El Paso, TX – We are a thrash band primarily influenced by the big four, dream theater, overkill, etc. etc. I also think our singer has a really unique style that will make us stand out (we don’t do screaming vocals). We currently have about 8 songs written and ready for bass parts. All of us have pro gear and we have a good place to practice as well. As soon as you learn the parts for the songs we are ready to start gigging.

Ideally, you will have pro gear, transportation, and time to practice at least twice a week. We have a pretty collaborative writing style so a lot of bass parts will be completely up to you (as long as they sound good, obviously).

05-13-12 – Phoenix, AZ>El Paso, TX – Seeking a seasoned professional guitar accompanist for a MAY 29TH GIG. This is a PAID gig, pay depends on experience/skills.

Folk/Roots/Americana vocalist traveling from San Diego to perform and discuss traditional folk songs in a midday recital. The scheduled guitar accompanist just backed out so I am in need of a replacement ASAP.

I will be performing examples including historical ballads, blues, bluegrass, gospel, etc. Finger-style player strongly preferred. There will be minimal rehearsal, so I need someone very comfortable backing up singers and learning new songs quickly.

NOTE: I do not play guitar, I only sing. You will be the only instrumentalist. Vocal harmony would be a plus, but that’s gravy. If you are a duo (guitar/guitar, guitar/banjo, guitar/mando, guitar/fiddle, guitar/stand up bass…) I’d be glad to hear from you. I won’t be able to pay as much per person, but of course it would be more fun musically.
