In Hatcher’s version, the dark Hyde indeed comes out, and he is evil beyond measure. But not all evil: He loves, and is loved. A dark and disturbing story liberally peppered with humor.

•A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, adapted by Kevin D. Ferguson – Nov.26-Dec 21
A CHRISTMAS CAROL simply and directly tells the story of the redemption of a human soul. The play follows the ever-powerful story of Scrooge, a lonely miser, who, through the help of spirits and visions from his past, present and future, finds a second chance to become a loving, generous human being. Recommended for all ages.

•Doubt, A Parable by John Patrick Shanley – Feb 19 – March 15, 2015
All the elements come invigoratingly together like clockwork in … a gripping story of suspicion cast on a priest’s behavior that is less about scandal than about fascinatingly nuanced questions of moral certainty. Something rare for this season: a laudable new American play.

•Present Laughter by Noel Coward – April 3 -April 26, 2015

October 16 – November 9

Synopsis:
This is Jekyll and Hyde like you’ve never seen before. Based on the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novella “Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” Jeffrey Hatcher’s adaptation takes us from Victorian drawing rooms to the grim alleyways of London as it examines the inner struggles of our lives and the ties that bind them dangerously close. What is the nature of the beast that lives in all of us?

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, adapted by Kevin D. Ferguson
November 26 – December 21

Synopsis:
A Christmas Carol is the classic tail about the old miser, Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge pays his clerk Bob Cratchit only fifteen shillings a week, is rude to his nephew and refuses to take part in the Christmas spirit. Soon, the Ghosts of his former business partner (Jacob Marley), Christmas Past, Present and Future all pay visits to Scrooge. They teach him to value Christmas and to be a better person overall. After the ghosts leave, Scrooge is a changed man. He even sends a turkey anonymously to Cratchit’s family.

Doubt, A Parable by John Patrick Shanley
February 19 – March 15, 2015

Synopsis:
The play is set in the fictional St. Nicholas Church School, in the Bronx, during the fall of 1964. It opens with a sermon by Father Flynn, a beloved and progressive parish priest, addressing the importance of uncertainty (”Doubt can be a bond as powerful and sustaining as certainty,” he says). The school’s principal, Sister Aloysius, a rigidly conservative nun vowed to the order of the Sisters of Charity, insists upon constant vigilance.

Present Laughter by Noel Coward
April 3 – April 26, 2015

Synopsis:
The plot follows a few days in the life of the successful and self-obsessed light comedy actor Garry Essendine as he prepares to travel for a touring commitment in Africa. Amid a series of events bordering on farce, Garry has to deal with women who want to seduce him, placate both his long-suffering secretary and his estranged wife, cope with a crazed young playwright, and overcome his impending mid-life crisis (since he has recently turned forty). The story was described by Coward as “a series of semi-autobiographical pyrotechnics”. — Project Type: Live Event
