Auditions For Aesops Foibles – 1473253
01-28-15 – Albany, NY>Buffalo, NY – Our play begins as young Aesop explains to the audience about his problem of constantly hearing annoying voices in his head, which come to life as hysterical characters onstage that only Aesop (and your audience!) can see and hear. With the resentful Fox, the egomaniac Hare, the sluggish Tortoise, the zen-like Grasshopper and the Aunt (yes, his mother’s sister!) and many more, Aesop can hardly think straight, so his parents take him to the doctor. Freaking out with frustration, Aesop wields a cane at the poor old doc, who’s bent on sending the young slave away to the loony bin. Goddess Hera and her hen-pecked husband Zeus intervene by sending the muse Daphinity down to help Aesop take control of the characters in his head. She convinces him that the only way to freedom is to let the characters out and share them with the world. Prompted by his master, Aesop’s stories come alive onstage, but the master remains unimpressed until Aesop can tell him what the tales mean. Jam-packed with clever dialogue, mad-cap action and modern, uproarious twists, Aesop’s Foibles retells the fables like you’ve never quite heard them before and offers a heart-warming surprise ending to wrap up the play the way Aesop would’ve like it… with a meaningful moral!

After the loss of a dear friend, the women realize time is precious and if they’re going to change their lives and achieve their dreams they have to get on it now! But Sugar Lee, their high-spirited, determined leader, has her hands full keeping the women motivated. Carlene’s given up on romance, having buried three husbands. And sweet, simple Crystal entertains them all, singing Christmas carols with her own, hilarious lyrics. The comic tension mounts when a sexy, ex-boyfriend shows up unexpectedly, a marriage proposal comes from an unlikely suitor and Sugar Lee’s arch rival vows she’ll stop at nothing to steal the spa away from her. Henry IV Part One Auditions – 1472739
01-26-15 – Albany, NY>Hartford, CT – When the play opens, military news interrupts the aging King Henry’s plans to lead a crusade. The Welsh rebel Glyndwr has defeated King Henry’s army in the South, and the young Harry Percy (nicknamed Hotspur), who is supposedly loyal to King Henry, is refusing to send to the king the soldiers whom he has captured in the North. King Henry summons Hotspur back to the royal court so that he can explain his actions.
Meanwhile, King Henry’s son, Prince Harry, sits drinking in a bar with criminals and highwaymen. King Henry is very disappointed in his son; it is common knowledge that Harry, the heir to the throne, conducts himself in a manner unbefitting royalty. He spends most of his time in taverns on the seedy side of London, hanging around with vagrants and other shady characters. Harry’s closest friend among the crew of rascals is Falstaff, a sort of substitute father figure. Falstaff is a worldly and fat old man who steals and lies for a living. Falstaff is also an extraordinarily witty person who lives with great gusto. Harry claims that his spending time with these men is actually part of a scheme on his part to impress the public when he eventually changes his ways and adopts a more noble personality.
Actors wanting to audition should prepare a one-minute monologue from Henry IV-Part 1. It does not need to be memorized – just well prepared.

Now Casting Actors For Noises Off – 1472024
01-21-15 – Albany, NY>Hartford, CT – The play takes a fond look at the follies of theatre folk, whose susceptibility to out-of-control egos, memory loss and passionate affairs turn every performance into a high-risk adventure. This comedy-within-a-comedy captures a touring theatre troupe’s production of Nothing On in three stages: dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance toward the end of the run. Each performance is portrayed from behind the scenes, progressing from flubbed lines and missed cues in the dress rehearsal to mounting friction between cast members in the final performance. Brimming with slapstick comedy, Noises Off is a backstage farce of slamming doors, falling trousers and flying sardines!
Audition Preparation: Auditions will consist of cold readings of brief scenes from the script. Everyone will have time to look over the scene and get familiar with the words. The scenes do not have to be memorized, but a feeling for the character should come through.
Because of the nature of the show, all characters will be needed at almost every rehearsal. This is very much an ensemble cast that depends heavily on timing to create visual, slapstick humor. — Project Type: Live Event
Casting Call For Jesus Christ Superstar – 1471879
01-20-15 – Albany, NY>Buffalo, NY – Jesus Christ Superstar presents the story of Jesus and his disciples, or followers, from the time they enter into Jerusalem until Jesus’ betrayal by Judas Iscariot and eventual crucifixion at the hands of the Romans.
The opera opens on the eve of the journey to Jerusalem. Rome has taken over the city, making it dangerous for Jewish leaders to claim too much power. Most of the disciples, like Simon Zealotes, are devoted to Jesus and excited about the next day’s events, but one, Judas, worries that Jesus has taken his religious crusade too far. He fears that the Roman army will destroy them all. He is also concerned that Jesus, supposedly a man of religion, is spending too much time with Mary Magdalene, a former prostitute but now one of Jesus’ closest allies. Jesus tells Judas that unless he himself is without sin, he must not criticize others. Mary Magdalene, in turn, has her own troubles; she is falling in love with Jesus but isn’t sure how to act.
Please be prepared to sing 32 bars in pop/rock style. If you are interested in dancing please bring dance shoes and be ready to learn a short combination.
The roles of Jesus, Judas, and Pilate have been cast and some of the other roles may be double cast. — Project Type: Live Event

Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. He’s a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she’s a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. Their new apartment is her most recent find. Too expensive with bad plumbing and in need of a paint job.
After a six day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic Velasco, where everything that can go wrong does go wrong.
Paul just doesn’t understand Corie, as she sees it. He’s too staid, too boring and she just wants him to be a little more spontaneous. Running barefoot in the park would be a start. — Project Type: Live Event
